Students view award-winning documentary films exploring themes — including identity, culture, and tolerance— inspired by the Jewish Museum’s collection. Engaging, guided conversations follow each screening.

Dayla, a twelve year old girl, and her mother leave war-torn Syria to make a new life in Los Angeles, where she creates a new identity for herself as an American high school student. Over the next four years, Dalya and her family work to adjust to an unfamiliar country, while maintaining their cultural and religious traditions.
