Special Events Intern

The Special Events Intern at the Jewish Museum will provide support for the Special Events department on fundraising and other events, including the Purim Ball Gala, New York Jewish Film Festival Opening Night, exhibition previews, donor receptions, and rental events.

Schedule: Part-Time; 12 - 16 hrs/wk


  • Mailing list compilation and proofreading
  • General administrative tasks such as filing, archiving, inventory, and assembling rental information packets  
  • Recording RSVPs for exhibition openings
  • Assistance with logistics and event staffing
  • Miscellaneous projects and research, as assigned


  • Current Bachelors or Masters student
  • Superior proofreading skills
  • Strong communication, written, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge and/or Salesforce a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to periodically work nights and weekends, as necessary
  • Interest in the arts and fundraising
