The Visitor Content Coordinator oversees the development and production of compelling original content (audio/video) to support the Museum’s mobile tours of the collection, exhibitions, and related activities. Reporting to the Director of Visitor Experience, the role is charged with maintaining an audience-focused approach to produce material that deepens engagement, furthers understanding of the Jewish Museum and its mission, and supports the Museum’s overarching audience development goals. Collaborating closely with colleagues across the institution (curatorial, education, collections management), as well as external parties (artists, partners, vendors), the role requires exceptional entrepreneurship, project management, and communication skills.
This is a three-year grant-funded position.

- Serve as lead project manager for production of the Jewish Museum’s mobile tours, including production timelines and overseeing development of necessary assets
- Work with outside content partner on development of tour outlines and scripts for 10-15 mobile tours per year
- Learn and become lead user for the mobile tour’s proprietary content management system
- Manage budgets related to the scope of the project, including selection and payment of additional vendors to support object photography, video production, motion graphics, animation, etc.
- Responsible for ensuring accuracy of all content, as well as consistency with the Museum’s brand and institutional voice
- Coordinate with internal Creative Studio to ensure that that graphic elements align with the Museum’s visual identity
- Work closely with Marketing, Digital, and Communications teams to find opportunities to leverage content across the Museum’s other platforms, including Web, advertising, media relations, and social media
- Analyze tour usage data (stops access, length of use, physical traffic patterns) to inform future decision-making on content development. Develop actionable reports to internal stakeholders
- Work with the Museum’s Digital Asset Manager to ensure that audio and video assets are uploaded and metadata is tagged, ensuring accessibility and usability by staff across the Museum
- Assist in developing narrative and budget reports to project funder
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in art, art history, education, history, marketing, creative writing, film studies, journalism or other relevant field; minimum of 2-3 years professional experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills; able to communicate diplomatically with both technical and non-technical staff, as well as subject-matter experts in a variety of fields
- Strong editorial or storytelling skills; experience in a producer role preferred
- Adept in project management, extremely organized, and detail oriented
- Tech savvy; facile at learning and utilizing new applications and platforms. Image/photo editing experience (Adobe suite); basic knowledge of HTML; familiarity with audio and video editing preferred.
